Welcome to my corner of the web. I spent half a century as a scientist, programmer, and entrepreneur, and was fortunate enough to have a front-row seat to the evolution of the Internet since 1980. Historically, I’ve worked extensively on the practical applications of email, human-computer interaction, and commerce, and have spent a lot of time trying to understand the human dynamics required to turn technologies into successful, collaborative products that actually make people’s lives better.
In my 60’s, however, after preparing to face death, I received the miraculous gift of the best health of my life, and I have decided to devote my remaining time to helping people envision how Artificial Intelligence might help us build a better future. The first step in that new journey has been my book, “The Spirit of a Cyborg.”
